Fluency in ASP.Net and VB.Net. Approximately 7 Years of diverse software development experience using .Net for both Web and Windows applications. The .Net framework contains a great set of tools that allow the rapid development of fully customized web applications.
Fluency in "Classic" ASP. Finding support for this language is becoming harder, but this classic still works beautifully. You can accomplish pretty much anything with it that you can with the newer languages. There are many great add-ons available for it, including free AJAX support.
Fluency in VB 6.0. I spent approximately nine years developing user-friendly Windows applications in Visual Basic 6, most notably the development of the Tablet-PC based Housing Inspection software for the City of Kalamazoo.
Extensive experience in C. After learning it in College in the late 1980's, C quickly became my favorite language. I gained several years of experience developing Control Systems applications in C before eventually giving in to the ease and readability of VB, which eventually became a fully object-oriented language in .Net. I have done only a small amount of work in C#, but it would take no time to get up and running; the difference is mainly in the "C" syntax, which I am comfortable with.
Extensive SQL Server Development. Most application I develop have a SQL Server back-end. I have many years of experience writing complex queries, and have strong experience developing and working with views, stored procedures, and ActiveX modules. I have also have experience developing and updating DTS Packages in SQL Server 2000.
